"16th Recon Co" - starts with a sign showing the date, June 29, 1951, with a tiny 1st Cav symbol. Shots of rockets hitting a hillside, and tanks, generators, trucks and a half-track in a tent camp area. Soldiers demolishing a thatch-covered building. Footage of a spotter plane taking off and landing, shots of a tank with a tiger painted on the front, and a jeep marked "Executive Officer". There's some footage of a soldier welding, a "16th Reconnaisance Command Post" sign, and shots of artillery firing. After some footage shot at sea, they're in Japan -- shots of Quonset Hut buildings, tanks (one is named "Miss Carriage"), and shots of other equipment around the base. There are snowy winter scenes at the base -- jets on the flight line, with a sign on a hangar "Chitose Base Operations", tanks, buildings and more signs, '16th Recon. Co." and "15th Replacement Company, 1st Cavalry Division". The film ends with shots of soldiers aboard the USNS Gen. Simon B. Buckner, at a Japanese port.
"Wonju Nurse" - begins with panning footage of scenery near a river and bridge, with nurses and soldiers having a picnic on the river bank. Little Korean kids playing, and standing by a sign, "The Little Wanderers Home of Wonju" -- an orphanage sponsored by an MP Bn. (possibly the 519th MP Bn). Shots of MPs on duty in town, Korean farmers working in rice paddies, and nurses relaxing by their living quarters. There's also some footage of a pair of female entertainers at the camp, surrounded by nurses and soldiers taking pictures.
