"57th WRS - AUSTRALIA"

Color home movie footage filmed by a member of the USAF 57th Weather Recon Squadron during 1962-63 while stationed at RAAF Laverton and Avalon Airfield near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

You'll see scenes filmed at an airfield, with shots of hangars, buildings, tower and runways. There's footage of US Air Force personel, B-57 Canberra jets in flight and on the flight line. There's also footage filmed at an airbase during a family day or airshow, with crowds of civilians wandering around the tarmac, and lots of aerial footage of the Australian countryside and coastline.
Other footage includes:
~B-57 Canberra with painted emblem of the 4926th Test Squadron, w/ crew names Romero & Woods
~Canberra with Australian Air Force markings, tail #A84-226
~shots of B-57 #52-1500 in flight (also, possibly #52-1496 which crashed at RAAF Laverton in Sept '62 killing both crewmen)

The DVD has a soundtrack from Australian radio.
