Vietnam War Home Movies ~ 1967

A tour of IV Corps Tactical Zone onboard Air America aircraft, filmed by Mr. Edward Wise. Stops are made in Chau Doc, Moc Hoa, Cau Lanh, Can Tho, Rach Gia, Ba Xuyen, Vinh Binh, etc. Also included is a "slide-show" of b&w photos shot by Mr. Wise.

You'll fly over the Mekong Delta, see an Air America Huey taking off from Vietnamese town, visit a classroom full of Vietnamese adults, fly into Chau Doc where you'll se a Pilatus Porter airplane on the airstrip. There are views of a busy waterfront, Vietnamese soldiers, shots of Mr. Wise at Cau Lanh International Airport, an Air America Dornier landing and shots from inside as it takes off again. There's footage taken while landing at Can Tho, Rach Gia street scenes, and fishermen working on their nets. You'll see a Vietnamese wood-working shop where the men appear to be making caskets. At Ba Xuyen you'll see a ceremony to dedicate a pagoda. At Vinh Binh you'll see a Cambodian Pagoda and shots of the market-place, Buddhist monks, and a procession thru the streets.

The DVD has a soundtrack from AFVN radio.
