"BRONCO TOWN"
Vietnam War Home Movies

Home movies filmed by an Ordnance Specialist serving with the Marines at Chu Lai and Danang (VMFA-542) in 1967-68, and with VMO-2 in Danang, 1970-71. There's also footage filmed while he was serving in the U.S. Army 3rd Inf. Div. in Germany in the early 1960s.


At Chu Lai Air Base you'll see footage filmed on the flightline, pilots climbing into F-4 Phantoms, an A-4 Skyhawk pulling out of revetments, a CH-53 helicopter landing and the ordnance area with rocket pods and bombs.
At Danang you'll see men servicing a Bronco, Phantoms taking off, A-6's, a Marine loading the cannon on a Bronco, the ordnance area, Bronco fly-by, Huey and Phantoms taking off, with a nice shot of flames from the F-4's engines.
In Germany you'll see ordnance convoy soldiers taking a break -- arriving at firing range, 3rd Inf. Div. self-propelled guns firing, a convoy on the move, and more.
