"GUNRUNNERS" ~ 238th AWC - 1969

Color home movie footage filmed by a Crew Chief / Door Gunner serving with the 238th Aerial Weapons Company "Gunrunners" based at An Khe during 1969. Also includes a "slide show" of still photos that he shot from 1969-1971.

You'll see scenes of the camp and the "Gunrunners" sign on a watertower, panning shots of the hills surrounding the base, and footage of Huey gunships, weapons, and his buddies. There's footage filmed while in the air, flying over bases, villages, countryside, and along the coast. In camp you'll see the men goofing around, playing volleyball, and at work - putting a canvas cover over a large quonset-shaped building frame. There are scenes filmed on the flightline, inside a helicopter in flight, and more...
