"JODI'S TOUR"
A.R.C. IN KOREA

Color home movie footage and a slide-show shot by Miss Joanne "Jodi" Butler while she was serving with a Red Cross Clubmobile Unit in S. Korea during 1957 and 1958 -- first with the 24th Division "Gimlets", and then with the 1st Cavalry Division.

You'll see scenes of Miss Butler and her fellow Red Cross workers on the job serving donuts and hot coffee to the troops in the field and at mountain-top observation posts. You'll go along on a road trip with Army trucks and the "Clubmobile", driving bumpy mountain roads, crossing Libby Bridge and Freedom Bridge over the Imjin River, through villages and farmland and on into Seoul. You'll visit the 7th Division at Camp Casey where the buildings are decorated with college pennants for a party, have a BBQ and fun at the beach, and watch the British Royal Sussex Regiment on parade... shortly before they left Korea in '57. In Seoul the women have a picnic with officers in a park while Korean kids watch, visit a carnival and tour Syngman Rhee's home (Ewhajang). There's also footage of the change-over from the 24th Division to the 1st Cavalry Division on Oct. 15, 1957. The slide-show contains shots from OP Maizie, OP Lola, ROK Observation Posts, KMAG, photos of lots of Red Cross workers, and more -- the slide show includes many of Miss Butler's captions identifying people and places.
Other footage includes:
~panoramic shots of valleys and hills from a mountain-top observation post
