"MY THO A.O."
Vietnam War Home Movies

Color home movie footage filmed by a CIA employee while operating in the IV Corps Tactical Zone during the early 1970s.

You'll travel around the My Tho area of operations, stopping in towns and small villages. You'll see: a car-ferry arriving at a dock and off-loading pedestrians and motorcyclists, a lake with a pagoda shaped gazebo built over the water, roadside vegetable vendors and market scenes in different towns -- women at a fish market cleaning fish and shrimp in large tubs, a bakery selling loaves of bread, and a boy holding up a large eel.
You'll cruise slowly past the shrine of the Coconut Monk on Phoenix Island -- a fantastic structure resembling a theme park.
You'll see a Vietnamese military base where soldiers fire a 105mm Howitzer, and in a town you'll watch a funeral procession walking down the street.

Other footage includes:
~boat traffic on the river
~Huey helicopter with a heart painted on the front
~a roadside shrine
~VN military police directing civilians
~men fishing from a bridge
...and more!
