"Vietnam War Red Cross Nurse"

Color home movies filmed by Surgical Nurse Bennett MacDonald in Danang and Tien Sha during 1965 and 1969.

You'll see footage filmed while driving through the countryside and shots on the base -- hospital quonset buildings and Navy trailers, and helicopters flying in the distance. There are scenes of Bennett MacDonald clowning around with a group of Green Berets, and later, wearing a large straw hat, at a Navy party in Tien Sha.
She filmed some quick glimpses inside a hospital building in Danang, and shots of patients/soldiers lined up for snacks at a Red Cross Clubmobile. There are some slightly out-of-focus shots of a bridge being built and river scenes, a view while driving past a small church building, and shots of flooded countryside.
There's a BBQ on base at which an older officer entertains everyone by playing the bagpipes, and in the city you'll have a balcony view of tanks rounding the street corner below, and see footage filmed inside the Red Cross Office compound in Danang.

Other footage includes:
~Crusader jet being towed
~Sign: "Marble Mountain Airfield, Home of MAG-16"
~Sign: "Naval Support Activity Bulk POL"
~"I Corps Advisory Chapel MAC-V" sign & chaplain(?)
~Sign: "Mobile Construction Battalion X"
... and more!
