"RAVEN 46"
Vietnam War Home Movies

Home movies filmed by Bill "Koz" Kozma from 1970 to 1972, first at Luke AFB, Arizona where he flew F-100s for the 58th TFTW and later on his 2nd tour as a Raven FAC during the secret war in Laos.

At Luke AFB in 1970 you'll see footage of F-100 Super Sabres of the 58th Tactical Fighter Training Wing, refueling over Arizona. Footage at Phan Rang Airbase in South Vietnam shows the Alert Facility on the flight line -- nine concrete covered revetments for F-100s and "Andrews Hall" the new mess hall dedicated to Capt. George R. Andrews of the 615th TFS, killed on a combat mission in 1969. Koz films a panoramic view of the flightline and the hills on the other side. The footage shot in Laos (late 1971-72) is from the air, flying in an O-1 Bird Dog over hilltop outposts and Lima Sites including LS-20A Long Tieng. Included is audio of radio traffic of the may-day call and eventual safe landing of Raven 46 after his plane was hit by enemy fire over Laos. The audio was un-dated and could be from his first Raven tour in 1969.

The DVD has a soundtrack of songs performed by Air Force men in Vietnam and radio traffic, including the may-day call of "Koz" when his plane was hit and he had to make an emergency landing in Laos.
