"THUNDERING THIRD"

Color home movie footage filmed by an airman stationed at Bien Hoa Airbase with the 3rd Security Police Squadron during the war.

You'll see scenes of the airbase with lots of footage of aircraft in flight, landing and taking off -- including A1-E Skyraiders, F-5 Freedom Fighters, F-100 Super Sabres, an Australian C-7 Caribou, Huey helicopters, and more.
You'll see shots of nearby towns, Vietnamese civilians, markets and street scenes -- footage of men firing a Howitzer, training with M-60s and firing rifle grenades at a lone tree.
There's extensive footage of A1-E's and F-5's dropping bombs and napalm very close to the base, with huge fireballs and flying debris, and a helicopter troop insertion.
Other footage includes:
~parked Hueys and close-ups of armaments
~ground crews working on F-5's
~men working with a D8H Caterpillar
~elaborate Vietnamese building covered with sculptures
~window-seat view from a Freedom Bird

The DVD has a soundtrack of AFVN radio shows.
