"TRIPLE - A"

Rare color and b&w WWII Home Movies following an Anti-Aircraft Artillery unit from their state-side training in the California desert and on into battle-scarred Europe.

State-side footage begins with a train ride, traveling past a train wreck and driving along the coast in a truck convoy. You'll see soldiers at a large tent camp, at an anti-aircraft gunnery training camp on the coast, and training in the California desert. You'll see the men setting up and firing AAA guns, hiding in desert scrub while low-flying aircraft buzz around, firing M1 Garands, lined up for chow, and marching on the parade grounds.

In Europe you'll move through bombed out towns, see the view thru the windshield as you cross a pontoon bridge, see a captured German Tiger tank and a crashed German plane (ME-109). There's a huge gathering of soldiers in a large stadium, and a trip through the countryside passing German pill-boxes and an anti-aircraft gun.
You'll see soldiers relaxing in a sea-coast city with palm trees, a camp with wood buildings and tents, and soldiers having fun on the beach. At a large camp with two-story wood barracks the guys participate in relay-races, a scrum over sandbags, cart races and more.

Other footage includes:
~an Army Jeep named "Dottie"
~soldiers firing AAA guns
~men killing a rattlesnake in their desert bunker
~"Reichsautobahn" sign
~soldiers blowing something up with a WP grenade
